Founded in 1927, Kenmore Appliances is a brand of household appliances sold by Sears. Manufacturers such as Whirlpool Corp, GE, Panasonic, Sanyo, LG, Bosch, Electrolux, and Mabe Mexico currently produce the products, the brand being controlled by Sears Holdings, and owned by KCD IP, LLC. "KCD IP" stands for Kenmore Craftsman DieHard intellectual property.
Today the Kenmore products are sold at all Sears Holdings stores, including Sears, Orchard Supply Hardware, The Great Indoors and, since 2005, at Kmart.
The first Kenmore branded product was a washing machine introduced in 1927 and the first Kenmore vacuum cleaner was introduced in 1932. Kenmore Pro is the professional line of appliances made by Kenmore.
Since 2010, "Kenmore Live Studio" broadcasts video via the Internet, so studio visitors, chef demonstrations, and presentations and unveilings of new products are shared in real time with those following the Kenmore brand.
